Our Vision

St. Gutenberg’s Library will be a quiet place to get lost in the stacks.

We’re talking row after row of wooden shelves stuffed with gorgeous old hardcover editions, dog-eared sci-fi paperbacks and classic comics.

Cozy old armchairs.

Stained glass windows.

A stuffed owl named Archimedes and a sleepy old cat to lie on our important papers.

We’re inventing a classification system because Dewey Decimal is impersonal and godless and doesn’t invite discovery. We hope you will find a gem of a book in our collection you’ve never heard of before every time you visit.

So many great books have been forgotten. We’re collecting them so they’ll be ready for you to explore.

Our Founders

Ash and Jim Rodgers are founders of Satis Library.

Ash is librarian, and her responsibilities include book acquisition, day-to-day operations, recordkeeping, and organization of our collections. Her favorite genre is fairy tales because magic is real.

Jim is curator, and his roles include creative director, boss man, final decision maker, and preservationist of our collections. His favorite genre is science fiction because dystopian governments are real.

We are parents; members of a local Reformed Baptist church; homeschoolers; and constant readers.
